Jefferson County Colorado Wildflowers

This blog began with the wildflower blooming season in 2010. I post randomly-whenever we get out to look at flowers. I am located in Jefferson County, Colorado, and that is primarily where the information for this blog originates. Thanks to my three dogs who need long daily walks and who like to explore all our area parks. Without them, I wouldn't get out as often.

Golden currant (Ribes aureum)
Chokecherry (Padus virginiana)
An after work walk to Harriman Lake produced golden currant and chokecherry blooming on the south of the lake in the field. Also saw white pelicans on the lake.
